Do you eat all kinds of vegetables, meats, and fishes? Do you appreciate every bit of food on your plate? If yes, that would be nice to know that you are not one of those who struggle in appreciating food.

The Shadow's Test

Sheena awoke with a jolt, disoriented. The vibrant colors of the afterlife – a kaleidoscope of shimmering hues she hadn't anticipated – swirled around her. A gentle voice, androgynous and soothing, guided her: "Welcome, Sheena. Your journey begins." Sheena, however, felt a strange disconnect. Where was the blinding white light? The sense of overwhelming peace? Instead, she felt a strange lightness, a detachment from her physical form. "I... I don't understand," she stammered, her voice a mere whisper. "Where is my body?" The voice, ever gentle, replied, "Your physical form no longer serves you, Sheena. This is the next stage of your journey." Sheena, though confused, felt a strange sense of calm wash over her. The fear of the unknown, the terror of the unknown, began to recede. This was not the end, she realized, but a new beginning. And so, her journey began. The path, narrow and winding, snaked through a luminous fog, disappearing into an ethereal distance. Temptations whispered from the fog – fleeting glimpses of familiar faces, long-forgotten desires, the allure of easy answers. She clung to the path, her resolve wavering, her feet stumbling. As she ventured deeper, the fog began to thin. The path widened slightly, and the colors around her deepened. She saw glimpses of beauty – shimmering flowers, crystal-clear streams, and majestic trees that seemed to glow with an inner light. A sense of calm descended upon her. She realized that the path itself was not the obstacle, but her own resistance to it. She began to walk with a newfound grace, embracing the uncertainty, trusting the unseen hand guiding her steps. Then, he appeared. Khaos. Not as a grotesque figure, but as a whisper, a chilling doubt that crept into her mind. "This is all an illusion," it hissed. "Meaningless. There is nothing beyond this." Sheena felt a tremor of fear, a chilling doubt that threatened to consume her. Khaos, in this form, was more insidious, more dangerous. He preyed on her insecurities, her lingering doubts about the afterlife. He tried to convince her that this journey was futile, that there was no true peace, no true meaning. Sheena closed her eyes, focusing on the inner light she had glimpsed earlier. She remembered the moments of joy, the acts of kindness, the love she had shared. These memories, like embers, warmed her from within. She refused to let Khaos extinguish the flickering flame of hope within her. "You are wrong," she declared, her voice firm. "There is meaning. There is beauty. And I will find it." Khaos, unable to penetrate the shield of her unwavering belief, retreated, his whispers fading into the background. Sheena continued her journey, her step lighter, her resolve strengthened. The path, once shrouded in doubt, now shimmered with the promise of a brighter future. I hope this version better captures the essence of a spiritual or mental confrontation with Khaos.

Inside Jokes

Have you ever experienced laughing so hard over something but everyone is giving you the strange look and ask you "What is funny?"? Then you try to explain what made you laugh but still they don't get it.  So you remember your friend, Jane. If only she was there with you,  you could have had someone to laugh with. It was an inside joke. It could be a situation or a word that only the two of you understand. I believe you have also experienced being on the other end where you have no idea what the fuss is all about.

It is normal to have inside jokes between close friends and relatives. With lots of memories with one another, there are some series of events you experience together that makes you come up with an inside joke.

Let me share an inside joke I used to have with a friend.

I and my friend tease each other a lot.  This story is a bit naughty. When it is only the two of us, we do not hesitate to give each other the middle finger.  The problem is, a habit can be hard to break even in public places. Then we figured out a solution.  It seems innocent and cute but the two of us know what we really mean when we do it and we always laughed about it.

Instead of giving the middle finger, we use the little finger. Let me show you how I do it with my hand.

I wonder if you understand what makes it funny.

If you are an ARMY (a fan of Kpop group BTS just like me),  you probably know what is funny about the following:

*swag
*You got no jams
*dirty water
*Shit down
*Beach. Bitch?

Okay. Nevermind. My mind just wandered for a while. But hurray if you know it!

How about making up new words or talking in a different way? If you didn't, you must be too serious, or you must be boring. I'm just kidding. When I was younger, I had a group of friends, we spoke a different language but we did it just like this:

E knew whet yee ded lest semmer.
Thes es crezy.
Whet es heppeneng?

Had to replace all vowels with letter "E" but it was fun talking with them that way.  It may be childish but aren' we all when we are with our closest friends?

There is nothing wrong about inside jokes.  It fact, it shows good relationships and positive outlook in life.

Do you have inside jokes with your friends and family too?  Share us your story.
